The columna temporis - the monolith among precision pendulum clocks

A timepiece like there is no other. Equipped with timeless and high-quality materials such as stainless steel, African granite and mouth-blown glass, the Columna Temporis makes a justified claim to uniqueness. The extraordinary design paired with the precision clockmaking expertise of the Erwin Sattler manufactory is perfectly combined in this truly timeless “Column of Time”. An exclusive clock specialty that is a technical and visual highlight for any room.

Perfect clockmaking with exceptional design

The most outstanding feature of the Columna Temporis is its complete transparency, which it achieves with its glass body. The front view fascinates with its clearly legible dial and blued steel hands, while an opening in the dial reveals a direct view of the beautifully designed escapement.

The movement and all its astounding features can be seen in the side view. The elegant Invar compensation pendulum with stainless steel pendulum bob swings in the lower part. The appearance of this longcase clock is complemented by its stone plinth made of Nero Assoluto – black, African granite.

Even after more than seven centuries, the art of mechanical clockmaking is still a creative craft with a huge range of experience that opens itself up to innovative ideas and produces wonderful works of art. One of these is undoubtedly the Columna Temporis.
